Hi! My name is Jill and I am one of the
Birth Care midwives. I am a wife and
mother of six grown children, and I had
the privilege of delivering my first
grandson in October of 2004. My husband
and I live in New Providence. I love
working for Birth Care!
I have been involved in home birth since
1978. I trained as a childbirth educator
and later trained as a midwife
apprentice in Bellflower, California
with Nial Eddinghousen, a well known
homebirth doctor. I earned a four year
degree in pre-med biology and a nursing
degree in New York State. I also
earned my midwifery degree in New York
State.
I have worked with Amish and English
families for almost 30 years. And
delivered a lot of babies in that time!
I specialize in herbal and homeopathic
treatments, and am learning more all the
time. At birth Care, I care for women
with fertility issues, menopausal issues
as well as normal physicals and prenatal
care. I don’t do as many deliveries as
Jane and Maribeth, but I often am asked
to be at the delivery for women whom I
have helped to get pregnant, and I help
out when the other midwives are busy!
It is a wonderful privilege to be here
working with these wonderful people. I
hope to meet you soon!
